MyLinkPe ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform for creating UPI payment links, invoices, and managing your mini online store.

By using MyLinkPe, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect information that you directly provide to us:

  • Phone number (for authentication and account creation)
  • Business name and description
  • UPI ID for payment collection (Free plan users)
  • GST number (if applicable)
  • Store customization preferences (colors, logos, banners)
  • Product information (names, descriptions, prices, images)
  • Customer information (names, phone numbers, delivery addresses)
  • Transaction and order data

2.2 Premium Plan Payment Processing Information

If you upgrade to our Premium plan, we collect the following information to facilitate payment transfers through Razorpay:

  • Business type (individual, partnership, company, etc.)
  • PAN (Permanent Account Number)
  • GSTIN (if applicable)
  • Bank account details (account holder name, account number, IFSC code)
  • Business address (street, city, state, postal code)

Important: This sensitive information is securely transmitted to Razorpay for payment processing and compliance purposes. We do not store your PAN number, bank account details, or other sensitive KYC information on our servers. Razorpay, as a PCI-DSS certified payment processor, securely handles and stores this information in compliance with RBI regulations.

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

When you access our Service, we automatically collect:

  • IP address and device information
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and time spent on pages
  • Date and time of visits
  • Referring website addresses
  • Operating system and platform

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your account
  • To authenticate your identity via OTP verification
  • To generate payment links and QR codes
  • To create and manage your mini store
  • To process Premium plan upgrades and create Razorpay linked accounts
  • To facilitate automatic payment splits for Premium plan users
  • To generate GST-compliant invoices
  • To track and display your orders, payments, and sales statistics
  • To calculate and track platform commission for Premium transactions
  • To provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • To improve our Service and develop new features
  • To send important notifications about your account and transactions
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
  • To comply with legal obligations and KYC requirements

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

We may share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Service:

  • Twilio (SMS delivery for OTP verification)
  • Supabase (database and authentication services)
  • Razorpay (payment processing and Route transfers for Premium plan users)
  • Cloud hosting providers (Vercel/AWS)

These service providers have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated to keep it confidential.

4.1.1 Razorpay Payment Processing (Premium Plan)

For Premium plan users, we facilitate payment transfers through Razorpay. The following information is securely transmitted to Razorpay:

  • Business name and type
  • Contact information (email, phone)
  • Business address
  • KYC details (PAN, GSTIN if applicable)
  • Bank account details for settlements

We act as an intermediary to transmit this information to Razorpay but do not store sensitive financial or KYC information on our servers. Razorpay processes and stores this information according to their privacy policy and RBI (Reserve Bank of India) regulations. All payment processing and settlements are handled directly by Razorpay's secure infrastructure.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to:

  • Valid legal requests from government authorities
  • Court orders or legal proceedings
  • Protection of our rights, property, or safety
  • Prevention of fraud or security threats

4.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

5. Payment Information

5.1 Free Plan

For Free plan users, MyLinkPe does not process or have access to your financial payment information. All payments are made directly through UPI (Unified Payments Interface) to your UPI ID. We only store:

  • Your UPI ID (public identifier)
  • Transaction metadata (amount, date, status) that you manually record
  • Payment screenshots uploaded for order verification (optional)
  • Order information that you choose to track

Your customers pay you directly via UPI apps. We are not involved in the payment flow.

5.2 Premium Plan

For Premium plan users, payments are processed through Razorpay using their Route feature:

  • Customer payment details (card/UPI/netbanking) are processed securely by Razorpay - we never have access to this sensitive information
  • We store transaction metadata: Razorpay order ID, payment ID, transaction signatures
  • Payment amounts are automatically split: 90% transferred to your linked bank account, 10% retained as platform commission
  • We track total sales, commission amounts, and settlement status for your dashboard
  • Razorpay handles all payment compliance, PCI-DSS certification, and security

Razorpay settlements to your bank account typically occur within 24-48 hours after payment capture, subject to Razorpay's settlement schedule and your account activation status.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS
  • Secure database storage with access controls and row-level security
  • OTP-based authentication for account access
  • Rate limiting to prevent abuse and unauthorized access
  • IP tracking for security monitoring
  • Secure webhook signature verification for payment callbacks
  • Regular security audits and updates

For Premium plan payments, Razorpay provides:

  • PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processing
  • Payment signature verification using HMAC SHA256
  • Secure payment gateway infrastructure
  • RBI-compliant KYC and settlement processes

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our Service. You may request deletion of your account at any time through account settings.

7.1 Information We Store

We store the following on our servers:

  • Account information (business name, phone number, email)
  • Store and product information
  • Transaction metadata (order IDs, amounts, dates, status)
  • Razorpay account ID (reference only, not sensitive data)
  • Total sales and commission statistics

7.2 Information We Don't Store

For your security, we do NOT store:

  • PAN numbers
  • Bank account numbers
  • IFSC codes
  • Customer payment card details
  • UPI credentials or payment authentication data

This sensitive information is handled exclusively by Razorpay's secure infrastructure.

7.3 After Account Deletion

  • Your personal information will be permanently deleted within 30 days
  • Transaction records (order IDs, amounts, dates) may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and tax compliance as required by Indian law
  • For Premium plan users, your payment processing information is retained by Razorpay according to their retention policies and RBI regulations - you must contact Razorpay separately to manage that data
  • Anonymized data may be retained for analytics purposes

8. Your Privacy Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to certain types of data processing
  • Withdrawal: Withdraw consent for data collection at any time

11. Children's Privacy

MyLinkPe is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.

12. Data Transfer

Your information may be stored and processed in servers located in India or other countries where our service providers operate. By using our Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations.

13. Premium Plan and Platform Commission

For users who upgrade to the Premium plan:

  • Payment Splits: All Premium payments are automatically split at the time of transaction: 90% is transferred to your Razorpay linked account and 10% is retained as platform commission
  • Commission Tracking: We track the total commission amount from your transactions for our internal accounting and to display your earnings dashboard
  • Settlements: Your 90% share is settled directly to your registered bank account by Razorpay, not by MyLinkPe
  • Account Status: We store and display your Razorpay account activation status to help you understand when you can start receiving payments
  • Downgrading: If you downgrade from Premium to Free plan, your Razorpay linked account remains active but will no longer be used for new transactions

The 10% platform commission covers payment processing, infrastructure, technical support, platform maintenance, and feature development.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by:

  • Sending an SMS to your registered phone number
  • Displaying a prominent notice in our Service
  • Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
